Raised between the bustling streets of Naples and Florence, she found her true universal language in music.
Born on January 16, 2001, in Naples, into a family of leather craftsmen, Less (real name Alessandra) grew up in Arzano. Her childhood, marked by frequent moves and a close-knit and supportive family environment, rooted in her a deep resilience and adaptability.
Her life's course changed direction when, at the age of eight, her family moved to Fano in search of better opportunities. This move was followed by another to Florence when she was eleven, during which she experienced a painful loss, a defining moment that intensified her emotional and artistic sensitivity.
Music became Less's refuge during these formative years. At twelve, she discovered a passion for guitar and singing, which soon became her main means of expression. Songwriting, which began almost as a game, soon became a profound way to narrate the events and emotions of her life.
Adolescence brought significant challenges, particularly in accepting her sexual orientation, often misunderstood by her family. Despite the difficulties, music remained her safe haven, allowing her to freely express herself.
Intensely emotional tracks like "Why Do You Lie?" and "Hole" are born directly from her personal experiences, transforming private tumults into moving musical expressions. The isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic marked a period of creative breakthrough; Less set up a home studio and dedicated herself intensely to writing and recording.
This period led to a fruitful collaboration with Florentine producers Lorenzo Santi and Federico Maremmi at Kapow Vintage Studio. Here, Less not only honed her craft but also found a true creative family, elevating her music to new levels.
Her latest singles, "Up and Down," "I Need All Your Love," and "Asking for a Change," showcase a mature artist navigating complex emotions with elegance and depth. At 22 years old, Less presents herself as a blend of youthful enthusiasm and mature wisdom, inviting listeners from around the world into her rich emotional and musical landscape. The psychedelic rock arrangements of her band perfectly complement her profound and evocative lyrics.
